In SCAN, what are the T-shaped and the Torch icons used for ?

• The T-shaped icon enables you to toggle between 'Text' mode and 'Image' mode'. If the page you want to scan mainly contains handwriting, use Text Mode. If the document you want to scan contains images in colour, choose 'Image' mode.
• The Torch icon (located top left of the screen in SCAN) can be used to disable the torch if necessary.
Every time you scan SCRIBZEE® automatically activates the torch on your smartphone to ensure lighting conditions are sufficiently bright to allow the scan to take place. If you're scanning pages of handwritten notes we advise that you leave the torch on. However if you need to capture pages that contain images, the quality of the scan can be improved by disabling the torch. This can be done by tapping the Torch icon once.
